The Québec Medical Appointment Scheduler is a harmonized, user-friendly and free service for scheduling appointments for family medicine online. Its purpose is to help all Quebeckers access a health professional offering family medicine services.
3 options are available for scheduling an appointment online:
1 with your assigned health professional (family doctor, specialized nurse practitioner or medical resident)
2 with another health professional of his/her family medicine group
3 with a health professional in another clinic near a chosen location
If applicable, access to your assigned health professional is given priority. However, it is not necessary for you to have a family doctor in order to use the Québec Medical Appointment Scheduler.
Using the Québec Medical Appointment Scheduler
A single requirement: Having a Québec Health Insurance Card.
Persons not eligible for the Québec Health Insurance Plan (for instance, persons having been outside Québec for an extended period) or those whose Health Insurance Card is expired can still schedule an appointment. They will be notified, however, that they must normalize their situation with RAMQ before attending their appointment.
Scheduling an appointment in 3 easy steps
1 Enter your personal information
Fill out the 6 mandatory fields:

✓ Health Insurance Number
✓ Sequential number on the Health Insurance Card
✓ Date of birth
✓ Sex
2 Browse the calendar and choose the most convenient date and time
Enter the desired date and time of day, as well as the reason for your consultation to obtain an appointment.
The Québec Medical Appointment Scheduler offers several appointment options. Select the desired time-slot among those displayed by clicking on it.
3 Confirm the appointment
Click on the “Confirm the appointment button". A confirmation of the date, time and location of the appointment, along with the reason for the consultation will be displayed on the screen, as will a unique reference number. This number is necessary to cancel an appointment, consult the information about the appointment or update the contact information entered for the appointment.
Depending on the means of communication selected when you scheduled the appointment, the confirmation and reminders will be sent by email, automated telephone call or text message.
